Summary
Renewing Online Portals for a Stock-listed Industrial Corporation
For two years, I worked in an international team to renew and unify online portals across four independent business areas. The business goal was to encourage users to choose online channels over more traditional ones. The main use cases were related to sales, order tracking, and supply chain management. During the project, we managed to firmly establish design as part of the client relationship, resulting in more value-driven software development and excellent usability scores for the services.

My Contribution
Demonstrating Design's Value and Building Trust
When I entered the project, there was a certain haziness around how design should contribute to development and how much should be invested in it. To concretize my work, I took the initiative to set up frequent status meetings where we openly discussed what had been done and how much it had cost. This approach – combined with demonstrating design's value every day – played a key role in helping us transition from a fixed-fee to an allocation-based workflow..
During the two years, I defined and designed functionalities across four independent business areas. This involved gathering input from various stakeholders and building a shared understanding of what needed to be done, when, and how. This required close collaboration with tech specialists and external vendors to ensure our solutions were compatible with customers' SAP and ERP systems.
