Fazer for Minis-concept was developed to offer a better option in a market filled with ultra-sweet products. Our task was to guide the client to determined what kind of look would communicate healthiness and great taste.
The project started by researching the market and diving into consumer studies. Based on this insight, various standpoints were made and simplified to one visual concept. First round of products were launched to valdiate the visual style and the snacks with consumers. Based on this insight, the series was developed into an actual line of packaging. In this finalizing phase the style of characters and overall layout was carefully examined once more and then validated with consumers.
After launching the first three products the product family expanded to alternative tastes and new product categories in the following years.
Client: Kennelpakaste, Agency: Aivan, Duration: 2019–2020
Kennelpakaste is one of the oldest finnish companies that manufacture high quality foods for canine. When this project started their product rage had grown over the years and needed to be visually unified. In order to do so, also the overall brand needed to be revised.
Designing the brand was rooted directly to Kennelpakaste's unique selling point – a very straight forward production process. Fresh ingredients are simply sourced, processed and frozen. Due to the freezing, no additives were needed. Our task was to create visual representation for this simplistic approach. The visual concept was based around bold identifier shapea and a slogan, complemented with a humoristic illustration and color-scheme differentiating various flavours from one another.
After the project, the customer had received a more credible set of labels for their key-products. Furthermore, the new visual system designed for the packaging, set the basis for renewed Kennelpakaste brand.
Client: Starship Technologies, Agency: Aivan, Duration: 2017–2021
Starship Technologies is a tech-company manufacturing a fleet of semi-autonomous delivery robots As the company was scaling it's operations to UK and US, various materials were needed to convince customers for the benefits and trustworthyness of this futuristic service.
During several years of co-operation I worked closely with Starhip to maintain a consistent and neat appearance on various platforms to meet the needs of an internationally acknowledged technology company. My responsibilities were in designing and delivering several product launches in the UK and US, social media and illustration.
With Starships marketing team we were able to navigate in rapidly changing situations while maintaining a concise message and style. As we were working iteratively we were able to develop the brand day by day, delivery by delivery.
Client: Suomen Rakennusuojat, Agency: Aivan, Duration: 01/2020–06/2020
Suomen Rakennussuojat Oy is a Helsinki based company focused on selling products used in covering and protecting all surfaces on a construction site. Aim for this project was to give the already established small company a more thought-out look.
In a relatively short timespan, by using benchamrks, we found a common idea with the client which visual direction was desired. Designing the identity continued with drawing an easily recognizable logotype that was complemented with striking and high-contrast coloring.
After a couple of months from the brief, the customer received designed assets ready to be utilized. The new identity was later on used as basis for a website renewal and various printworks.
